Losing your mobile can be a nightmare!

In a world of modern technology many people rely on their mobile phones as their address book and don’t write down contact names and numbers elsewhere. This means that if they lose their mobile, they can also lose the details and contact numbers for possibly hundreds of friends, family and work colleagues.

However, there is a way to prevent this! To safeguard against losing this information you can ‘back up’ the contacts on your SIM card on the Onetouch server permanently. This means you can save the contact information stored on your phone somewhere else, so that if you lose your phone, you still have all your contacts.

What is My Fonbuk?
My fonbuk is a service that allows Onetouch customers to save a copy of their SIM contacts on a central server for safe keeping.

How do I back up my SIM card?
The contacts on your SIM card are stored on a secure web server (database) that can only be accessed by you.

How does it work?
·    If your contacts are saved in phone memory, copy them onto the SIM memory of your phone.
·    Go to the menu of your phone and select Onetouch Services (Applies to customers with the new SIM cards).
·    Scroll to My Fonbuk and click on synchronize to have your contacts saved on the Onetouch server.
·    If you do not have ‘Onetouch Services’ in your phone menu, visit any Onetouch Care4U centre near you and have your contacts saved for you.
·    You have the option to either back up contacts automatically or manually. Automatic back up when selected will back up 5 new or edited contacts at a time. Manual when selected will back up any new or edited contact when the customer selects synchronize in the fonbuk menu.

How do I retrieve my contacts after losing my phone or SIM damage?
·    Contact any Onetouch Care4U centre for a SIM swap.
·    Request for restoration of your SIM contacts.
