Akufo-Addo Circle Commissioned
August 15 2008

The former Togo Embassy roundabout has been given a new name and status of a Circle.

The Circle, the second to be commissioned by Onetouch after the Paa Grant roundabout in Tarkoradi was named after one of Ghana’s most illustrious statesmen, H. E. Edward Akufo-Addo, who was a member of the Big Six and President of the second Republic.

The Circle is expected to be a place of relaxation for both local and international tourist because of its exceptional landscape and ambience.

The project was executed by Onetouch with technical support from the Accra Metropolitan Assembly.

The daughter of the late President, the mayor of Accra, Hon. Adjiri-Blankson and the Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Telecom, Mr. Oduro-Nyaning unveiled the 8 feet bronze statue and declared the Circle officially opened.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Oduro Nyaning said Ghana Telecom was proud to be associated with any activity that sought to put Ghana on the tourism map and improve the country’s image.
